Peru, Valley pyramids Tucume


South America, Peru. Valley pyramids Tucume – the ancient religious center of the pre-Inca South American Indian tribes. These pyramids are called “Huaca”, the largest of them – the Huaca Larga (“Long Pyramid”), the length of which is 700m. at 280m width. and a height of 30m. They are all built of mud clay bricks.

In 1466 on the way to India, visited the monastery in Tver merchant Afanasy Nikitin. In XVIII-XIX centuries Kalyazin is a significant trading center, twice-yearly fairs were held.
In 1939-1940, part of the territory of the old town, including all the main historical and architectural monuments, was flooded during the construction of the Uglich hydroelectric power station.

Zholobovo village located in the south-eastern part of the Smolensk region. At 31 km north-east of Ugra, 11 km north of the R132 road Vyazma – Kaluga – Tula – Ryazan, on the banks of the river Shitovka. 26 km west of the village there is a railway station on Volosta-Pyatnica line Torzhok-Bryansk.
